Expert summary
Style designates a design which is elegant, charming, and contains a particular pattern. A design can only be considered in the context of arts, engineering, architecture, etc. The process of developing a plan for a project, object, structure, system, or component is called design. The resultant plan, structure, pattern, or general appearance is also called design. When the overall design is charming we say that it has style. A process can also have a design and then it is called a process design. It is designing that enhances the aesthetic and functional attraction of something. Structuration theory deals with design, both as a process and also as the finished look.
